Just minutes away from busy Capital, The National Botanical Garden of Seychelles rests, 15-acre green haven. Garden is one of the Seychelles’ oldest national monuments, a living green heritage.

For nature enthusiasts: visit located in the hills of Anse Royale in the south of Mahe, Jardin du Roi - home to various spices such as nutmeg, black pepper and cinnamon, altogether somewhat more that 300 different spices, medicinal and fruit plants.

Originally established in 1771 in Anse Royale District, almost entirely devastated by fire, Jardin du Roi was restored in a different location in mid 1800s. To date owned and looked after by the descendants of Mr. William Green who gave the special garden it’s second life.

Cup of tea, hot or cold, best enjoyed at the only Tea Tavern, with a spectacular view of the western parts of the main island.
